| Hey y'all, Here are 10 things I thought were worth sharing this week: - Children and artists both need the right combination of time, space, and materials.
- I'm reading David Hockney and Martin Gayford's A History of Pictures. (It is excellent, but I might like their version for children even more!)
- What pictures of horses can teach us about art.
- My hero Lynda Barry on Design Matters. (I cannot wait for my copy of Making Comics to get here.)
- Kurt Vonnegut on how we're all bummed out because we're comparing ourselves with the world's best.
- Some Keep Going inspiration: Painter Sylvia Fein is turning 100 this month and celebrating with a show of 70 years of her work.
- In haunted house movies, why don't people just leave the house?
- Why are there Ten Commandments?
- Dumb cat video: my kids can't stop watching Cinderblock. They even make Cinderblock fan art.
- We can now add Blade Runner to the list of stories set in a future now past.
